Who will save the Falls?
The Mill District Neighborhood Association sponsored a public meeting regarding the further development of hydro-power at St. Anthony Falls on September 15, 2014 at Mill City Museum.

In discussing possible follow-up actions from the September 15 meeting, the members of the NIEBNA Board felt that the overall neighborhoods response would be more effective if the neighborhood surrounding the Falls got together and pooled resources and contacts and made a common response.
Therefore, the NIEBNA Board decided to sponsor an organization meeting with the neighborhoods immediately surrounding the Falls – Marcy - Holmes, Downtown Minneapolis, St. Anthony West, North Loop and Nicollet Island - East Bank – with the aim of creating the St. Anthony Falls Alliance (tentative name) to discuss and formulate a neighborhood position on the further development of hydro-power at the Falls.
